How often does it happen that your lunar birthday and solar birthday fall on the same day?

Generally speaking, the lunar calendar and the solar calendar fall on the same day once every nineteen years, and occasionally every twenty years. For example, for someone born on August 17, 1983 in the lunar calendar, the Gregorian calendar time is September 23. After 19 years, that is, August 17th of the lunar calendar in 2001, it will be September 23rd of the Gregorian calendar, which happens every 19 years.
The Gregorian calendar is based on the Earth's revolution period around the sun. The Earth revolves around the sun once every 365.2422 days, also known as a "tropical year." The Gregorian calendar has a leap year every four years, which means adding one more day to February, making it 366 days long.
The lunar calendar is a lunisolar calendar, a combination of the solar calendar and the lunar calendar. The lunar calendar is based on the movement of the moon. The moon orbits the Earth once every 29.5306 days, also known as a "synodic month." Therefore, there are only two types of lunar months: 29 and 30 days. There are no 28 or 31 days in the Gregorian calendar.
The lunar year takes into account the new and full moons, and uses the solar terms to regulate yin and yang to avoid seasonal disorder. Therefore, the leap month in the lunar calendar is a whole month, and a year with a leap month has 13 months. And 19 years is what people can observe and experience within their average lifespan, so the Gregorian calendar and the lunar calendar are "most similarly overlapped" at this point in time.

Why is the lunar birthday later than the solar calendar?

The lunar calendar is later than the solar calendar because the number of days in a lunar year is different from that in the solar calendar. Both the lunar calendar and the solar calendar have twelve months in a year, but a lunar month is generally only 29 or 30 days long, while a solar month is generally 30 or 31 days long. Over a year, the difference may not seem big, but over the years the gap will gradually widen. For this reason, the lunar calendar has a leap month, which means adding one extra month in a leap year, making the year have thirteen months, to adjust the time of the lunar calendar and the solar calendar to ensure that the time difference between the two is not too large. Therefore, the lunar calendar dates are generally later than the solar calendar dates.
However, this is generally the case in ordinary years. If it is after a leap year or leap month, the lunar calendar date is often earlier than the Gregorian calendar, and then they gradually get closer and then slowly widen the gap.
