When is Army Day in 2021?

2021 Army Day Date: Sunday, August 1, 2021, the 23rd day of the sixth lunar month
August 1st Army Day is the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It is set on August 1st of each year. It was established by the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.
On July 11, 1933, the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic, based on the proposal of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission on June 30, decided to designate August 1 as the founding anniversary of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. On June 15, 1949, the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission issued an order to use the words "August 1" as the main symbol of the flag and emblem of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, this anniversary was renamed the Chinese People's Liberation Army Day.

What needs to be done on the day?

1. Activities to support the military
Every year on Army Day, the troops organize grand commemorative activities to celebrate their own holiday. At the same time, we must organize activities to support the army and their families, publicize the glorious traditions of the people's army, and check the implementation of preferential treatment and relief work.
2. Tomb memorial for heroes
On this day, the entire army will hold various events to celebrate their own activities. Some held art performances in the army to showcase their talents; some visited lonely elderly people in the community to offer them the warmth of family love; and some went to the revolutionary martyrs' cemetery to sweep tombs or hold online memorial services to commemorate those heroes who sacrificed their precious lives for the revolution and the people.
3. Visit and comfort old comrades
Visit and express condolences to retired comrades and cadres of the military, and extend holiday greetings and good wishes to them.
4. Donate love to poor families
In some remote areas or areas where family conditions are not very good, especially during festivals, we visit the poor and inquire about their hardships, and bring the Party's warmth to the hearts of the people.
