The sand cover is equivalent to luggage such as clothes, and the road ticket is equivalent to a letter of introduction for passing through. The one with a sand cover and a road ticket is a flower bag, and the one without a sand cover and a road ticket is a white bag. Writing on the envelope means writing the name of the ancestor, the number of envelopes received, the name of the person burning the envelope, and the time of burning, etc. in the relevant columns on the cover of the envelope. When writing a package, one needs to clarify the relationship between the ancestor who receives the package and the descendants who burn the package, and then write the package according to the prescribed name. The content of each column is written as follows: First column: For flower packages, fill in the blank space before the word "封" below with the number of packages. One package is 1 envelope, and one load is 2 envelopes. Fill in the total number of packages written to a certain ancestor. For white packets, the space for "Date of Zhongyuan Festival" is blank and needs to be filled in. The reason for leaving it blank is that various packets need to be burned for the newly deceased according to the time limit (such as the 49th anniversary packet, the first anniversary packet, the second anniversary packet and the third anniversary packet). The content to be filled in each time a packet is burned is different, so it is left blank for the person burning the packet to fill in according to the situation. For example, when writing a white envelope for the 49th day, write "the first seven days of wealth transformation" on the blank space, write "the second seven days of wealth transformation" on the blank space, and so on, write "the final seven days of wealth transformation" on the blank space; when burning a first anniversary envelope, write "the period of small fortune transformation" on the blank space; when burning a second anniversary envelope, write "the period of great fortune transformation" on the blank space; when burning a third anniversary envelope, write "the period of wealth transformation after removing the mourning clothes" on the blank space. Second column: Generally, it is not filled in, but if there is no blank in the first column for the number of envelopes, fill in the number of envelopes before "上奉". If the packet is written from an older person to a younger one, then “上奉” should be changed to “付于”. After the word "故" comes the ancestor's title and name. The writing method is different for different relationships and generations.
