In the eyes of local people, eating persimmons can not only keep warm but also strengthen bones and muscles, making it a very good food for the Frost's Descent.The old people in Quanzhou say that eating persimmons during the Frost's Descent will prevent a runny nose. In some places, the explanation for this custom is: you must eat persimmons on the day of Frost's Descent, otherwise your lips will be chapped throughout the winter. 2. There is a proverb about eating duck in southern Fujian, which goes, "Nothing better than nourishing yourself during the year is better than nourishing yourself during the Frost Descent." These small proverbs fully express the importance that the people of Fujian and Taiwan attach to the Frost Descent solar term. Therefore, every Frost Descent season, ducks in Fujian and Taiwan will sell like hot cakes, and sometimes they will be out of stock and in short supply. 3. Eat radish. Shandong folk proverb: Eat sorghum in the Beginning of Heat, eat valley in the White Dew, and pick radishes in the Frost Descent. In autumn, radish is better than ginseng. Eating beef: In many places, there is a custom of eating beef during the Frost Descent Festival.
