Later, he married the daughter of the Dragon King and gave birth to a son, whom he named Xinheng. Once her son offended her, the Dragon Girl was so angry that she returned to the Dragon Palace and never came back. Pangu had no choice but to remarry. On June 6 of that year, Pangu died. From then on, Xinheng was abused by her stepmother and was almost killed. He could no longer tolerate it, so he complained to heaven about his stepmother and vowed to destroy the rice seedlings she had planted. When his stepmother found out, she felt extremely regretful and finally reconciled with Xin Heng. Every year on June 6th, the day Pangu passed away, they would kill pigs and ducks, make rice cakes and offer sacrifices to Pangu. Therefore, the Buyi people hold a ceremony to worship Pangu and their ancestors on June 6th of the lunar calendar every year to show the continuation of their descendants and a good harvest.
