Brief introduction to the origin of Children's Day

In June 1942, German fascists shot and killed more than 140 male citizens over the age of 16 and all babies in the Czech village of Lidice, and took the women and 90 children to concentration camps. All the houses and buildings in the village were burned down. Such a good village was destroyed by the German fascists.
In order to mourn the children of Lidice and all the children in the world who died in the fascist war of aggression, the International Democratic Women's Federation held a board meeting in Moscow in November 1949. Representatives from China and other countries angrily exposed the crimes of imperialists and reactionaries in various countries in killing and poisoning children. In order to protect the right to survival, health care and education of children in all countries of the world and to improve the lives of children, the meeting decided to designate June 1st of each year as International Children's Day.
In 1925, the International Association for Promoting Child Welfare advocated the establishment of Children's Day. Countries such as Britain, the United States, and Japan responded positively and established their own Children's Days. Britain designated July 14th of each year as Children's Day, and the United States designated May 1st as Children's Day. Children's Day in Japan is very special. It is divided into boy and girl children's days. Boys' Day is on May 5th and girls' Day is on March 3rd. In 1931, my country also designated April 4 as China's Children's Day. After the founding of New China, the State Council of the Central People's Government stipulated on December 23, 1949 that China's Children's Day should be unified with International Children's Day.
Since June 1 was established as International Children's Day in 1949, countries around the world have abolished their original Children's Day and unified it into "June 1 International Children's Day."

When does China celebrate Children's Day?
