Several times when I went there in December and January, the temperature was still above 0 degrees. The neighboring Huanglong Mountain was closed due to heavy snow due to its high altitude, but the water in Jiuzhaigou was still there. Secondly, Jiuzhaigou is still as beautiful as ever in winter. If you don’t believe me, look at the photos. They were all taken by me in early December. Finally, it is cost-effective. Winter is the off-season in Jiuzhaigou, and the entrance ticket + scenic sightseeing bus ticket is only half of the peak season price. You can also enter the valley a second time (just pay a 20 yuan handling fee and you can go in again the next day, but if you take the sightseeing bus you have to buy a ticket). The key is that you can take your mother to quietly enjoy the beautiful scenery without worrying about the usual crowded crowds in Jiuzhaigou.
