Different customs of Qingming Festival in different parts of my country

Fujian: Most people in Fujian will press "tomb paper" on the grave with small stones after worshipping, which means that the grave has been repaired. People generally do not cook food on Qingming Festival, and only eat cold runbing. This is a custom that originated from the Cold Food Festival.
Taiwan: Since most people in Taiwan are descendants of the Minnan people, the customs of Qingming Festival are very similar to those in Fujian.
Jiangsu: People in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu will make tea with seven willow leaves, which is said to improve eyesight, while people in Taizhou, Jiangsu will hold a "boat rowing" event. Anhui: People in Guichi County of Anhui Province will offer sacrifices to silkworms on Qingming Festival and pray for a good harvest of silkworms. The Huizhou government would collect new spring water to brew wine during the Qingming Festival.
Jiangxi: The tomb-sweeping festival in Yongfeng County, Jiangxi Province is held on a three-day-ahead-seven-day-ahead basis. People also make cocoon fruits and press glutinous rice cakes to eat, which is similar to the ancient Cold Food Festival.
Guangxi: During the Qingming Festival, villagers in Hengzhou, Guangxi will soak willow leaves and snails in water to wash their eyes, which is said to make their eyes bright.
Hunan: Changsha people plant willow trees during Qingming Festival, which is called "remembering the years". During the Qingming Festival, Yongzhou Prefecture would draw water in the early morning. The taste and color of the water would remain unchanged for several months, making it ideal for making wine.
Shandong: Customs in different regions of Shandong are slightly different. For example, the custom of cockfighting is still preserved in the northern region of Shandong. In Qishan, Boshan and other places, people cook a pot of millet rice on Qingming Festival to feed the cows a full meal, which is called "feeding the cow". In places like Qixia and Weihai, after the whole clan offers a public sacrifice, they will eat the steamed buns and dishes after the sacrifice together, which is called "Fangshi" or "Xishe".
Shaanxi: In-laws give each other paper money, visit each other’s graves, and insert willow branches on the doors.
Chaozhou: In some areas of Chaozhou, people make rice dumplings as offerings to graves during the Qingming Festival.
Hebei: The southern part of Hebei follows an earlier custom of sweeping tombs on the Cold Food Festival, the day before Qingming Festival.
Wenzhou: Wenzhou has the custom of making Qingming cakes during the Qingming Festival. The so-called Qingming cakes are also called Miancai cakes.
Shanghai: As an international metropolis, Shanghai people like to make green rice balls and peach blossom porridge during the Qingming Festival. Another thing worth mentioning in Shanghai is that after the prevalence of cemeteries, every Qingming Festival, the number of people going out to visit the graves reaches at least one million. So we would like to remind the people of Shanghai to be careful when going out during the Qingming Festival to prevent accidents.
