Introduction: Feng Shui is a very ancient academic discipline with a long history. People began to study and observe Feng Shui and use Feng Shui to help themselves a long time ago. In this issue of Feng Shui stories, let’s take a look at how an ancient businessman used Feng Shui to avoid risks. In order to facilitate your reading and reference, Mr. Shui Mo has compiled some special articles on Feng Shui stories for you. The content is very comprehensive and contains everything you want to know! It is said that a merchant in the Qing Dynasty wanted to sell a batch of silk to another place by water. When he arrived in the town one day, he saw the streets were bustling with people. The businessman saw a Feng Shui master at the door of a restaurant. The master looked like a Taoist priest. He was inspired and wanted to ask the master to see whether the trip would be smooth and whether he could make a profit. The gentleman looked at the businessman and asked him which route he would choose. After a moment's hesitation, he took out a piece of paper and wrote four sentences: Don't lock the boat when the mountain is high, don't stay in a building, don't wash your hair if you have an oily hair, and seven out of ten dou of rice will do. The businessman looked at it for a while and seemed to understand the meaning of it, so he asked the sir to explain it to him. The gentleman smiled and said, "This is a secret from heaven. It won't work if it's explained to you. You have to figure it out on your own." The businessman paid the divination fee and watched the gentleman go away. Then he pondered the last two sentences and couldn't understand them, so he folded the paper and put it in his pocket. The next day, the merchants burned incense and worshiped the water god and ancestors, and the large ship set sail with silk. The sea was calm in the past few days. The businessman was in a good mood and was able to eat and drink well, but he thought of his young and beautiful wife at home from time to time. It was a clear day. The merchant stood at the bow, admiring the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river. The river in front was curved, and it was blocked in front of a big mountain and turned around. There was a pier at the foot of the mountain. The merchant had come here many times before, stopping the boat, going ashore, eating, and buying some food and utensils. As usual, the merchant wanted to ask the boatman to stop the boat, but suddenly a strong wind blew on the river, and some small boats were blown to the point of capsizing and unable to move forward, so some large and small ships docked at the pier one after another. The boatman asked the workers to stop the boat and go to the shore for temporary shelter. The merchant looked up at the mountains in front of him. The mountains were steep and majestic, giving people a feeling of oppression. The businessman suddenly remembered the four lines that the Feng Shui master had written to him a few days ago, "Don't pull the boat when the mountain is high." He was stunned for a moment, wondering if it was a hint that I was in danger. Although he was skeptical about what the Feng Shui master said, he decided not to take the risk. He would rather believe it than hope for it, so he asked the boatman to turn around and go back. Although the boatman was puzzled and did not want to turn around and increase the danger, he had to turn around and return because "if you don't work in the right direction, you will be exhausted and get nothing in return". He thought it would be a waste of time to compete with the God of Wealth, so he had to turn around and return. After walking about two or three miles on the water, they heard a loud noise like thunder behind them. Everyone turned back in shock. A huge mountain not far away was collapsing and instantly turned into low hills. The pier, nearby boat docks and nearby shops were all buried. Part of the mountain fell into the river, splashing huge waves, which flowed upstream like a tide, pushing the ships a few miles away to the point of capsizing. Merchants and boatmen were all swaying on the deck, grabbing onto fixed objects to protect themselves. After a long while, the frightened souls of the people slowly returned to their bodies. The boatman put his cooled tongue back into his mouth and looked at the merchant with fear, confusion, admiration and many complex emotions, as if the Bodhisattva Guanyin had descended in front of him. In fact, the businessman was no less frightened than the others, but he luckily escaped the disaster thanks to the Feng Shui master's advice. He did not answer anyone's questions, as he wanted to remain mysterious to everyone. He just kowtowed a few times in the direction of his hometown, muttering words of gratitude to the Feng Shui master in his heart. After reading this, you may think that this blogger is talking nonsense. How strong a wind can make a mountain collapse? Oh, this blogger forgot to explain that there were several heavy rains here a few days ago. The mountain had absorbed enough water, and the rock and soil were loose, so it was about to collapse. The strong wind added fuel to the fire, causing a landslide and resulting in a tragedy in which people were buried. The merchant and the boatman returned home in time and were saved. Landslides occur frequently nowadays, and the reasons are basically the same: the ecological environment is damaged, and there is excessive mining and deforestation. It is a natural disaster combined with man-made disasters. The merchant avoided disaster and embraced fortune, and turned misfortune into blessing. This batch of silk was sold out as soon as it arrived at the local place, and the price was much higher than usual. The merchant made a lot of money. He used the money to buy a large amount of grain, which was also bought at a high price by the army that collected grain. The merchant was like marrying a new wife who was pregnant - he was picking up free food without any effort. On this day, we arrived in the big city of Hangzhou, and it was the Dragon Boat Festival. High officials, big businessmen, and wealthy people flocked in, and all the inns on the streets were packed. The businessman couldn't find a place to stay on the busy street, so he came to an inn in a remote area. Upon asking, he found a vacant room upstairs that had been booked by a guest and no one had checked in yet. The shop owner pointed out that the room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, and that it was not something that ordinary people could afford, so the businessman liked it very much. But when he and the owner went downstairs, the businessman suddenly remembered the Feng Shui master's words "Don't stay on the upper floor", so he lied that he was a little afraid of heights and didn't like living in high places, and asked if he could get a room on the ground floor. The owner smiled with a hint of contempt and said, "All the rooms were booked a few days ago. If you don't mind, you'll have to live with the coachman." The businessman knew that the owner thought he was reluctant to spend money and looked down on him, so he said, "I'll pay for this room, but I'll live in the coachman's room and let the coachman live in this room. Is that okay with you, owner?" The owner agreed readily and went down to make the arrangements, cursing in his heart why this fool came from. At night, the merchant went to bed early in the coachman's room. In the morning he was awakened by crying. He went out to ask and learned that the coachman who stayed on the second floor had been killed last night. The room was turned upside down, probably by robbers. The shopkeeper was so scared when he saw the death that he cried and sent someone to report to the police. The merchant touched his head and was glad that he did not live in that room, otherwise it would be him instead of the groom who died. The merchant knew that the groom's death was related to himself, but he could not explain the specific reason. The government officials came and the businessman was temporarily detained as a suspect awaiting trial. The case was solved two days later. It turned out that a jeweler had booked a room upstairs with his jewels and was discovered by the robbers. The jeweler fell ill and cancelled the room, but the robber was unaware of this and pried open the door in the middle of the night to steal. The groom found out and was about to call for help, but the robber raised his sword and killed him. The robber saw that the groom did not look like a big businessman and searched the room but did not find anything valuable, so he thought it was bad luck. Later, the robber drank too much in the hotel and took out the knife. The constable found blood on the knife and arrested him for interrogation. Only then did he know the whole story. The groom was a scapegoat for the jeweler. The businessman didn't live in that room. It was the Feng Shui master who saved him. The merchant escaped death twice and was filled with regret. He felt that this journey was full of dangers and he had no intention of doing business anymore. He was eager to return home, so he deposited his banknotes and hired a car to travel day and night back home. That night, the merchant finally arrived at the door of his house and knocked gently. The old maid opened the door and saw that the master had returned. He wanted to report to his wife, but the merchant stopped him and told the old maid to rest. The merchant came to the main hall. The light was on and the door was ajar. He pushed it open and saw his wife sitting on a stool. She was thinking about something with one hand holding her chin and the other hand holding osmanthus oil. She seemed to be putting on makeup, but for some reason she was staring at the mirror. The merchant felt hot in his heart, thinking that his first wife had passed away and he was in his forties, but God had given him a wife in her twenties who was as beautiful as a fairy. Now, for the sake of business, he went to a foreign country and neglected his girlfriend, and almost lost his life. The businessman felt guilty, and seeing his wife's shy and blushing face, he became ambitious and quietly went forward and hugged his wife. "You bastard, you thought about this as soon as you came in!" the wife said coquettishly, and poured osmanthus oil on the merchant's head. She turned around and saw that it was her husband. Her expression changed in an instant, and she scolded him again: "You bastard, you came in without saying a word and scared me!" The merchant did not say a word at this time. The man's primitive wildness was swelling. He blew out the candle lamp, carried his wife to the bed, stripped off her clothes, and rushed forward like a buffalo in heat on the grassland. A businessman is a decent person. He never gets involved in worldly affairs while doing business. He is like a person who sits in a well and looks at the sky. When he sees even a single bitter herb flower in the well, he will find it extremely cute and will focus on protecting it wholeheartedly. Nowadays, there are many men who, once they have a little power or a little wealth, always want to pick all the flowers and plants in the garden at will. They always want to smear a little green on other men, while keeping themselves spotless. The merchant vented all his worries and fatigue from the journey onto his wife. They were both exhausted and had no desire to move, and soon they both fell asleep in bed. It was dark at night. The door was gently pushed open and a dark figure tiptoed in. He seemed startled when he reached their bed. After a while, the black shadow reached out and touched the hair of the person outside, then reached out and touched the hair of the person inside, and then walked out. After a while, the black shadow returned with a kitchen knife in his hand. He suddenly chopped hard at the neck of the person lying outside the bed. The person sleeping outside the bed had his head chopped off without a sound. The person sleeping inside was awakened by the noise and saw a dark figure standing in front of the bed with a kitchen knife in his hand. He screamed in fear and picked up objects on the bedside to hit the figure. The black shadow was stunned for a moment, then dropped the kitchen knife and ran out of the room, disappearing into the dark night after a while. The merchant lit the candle, and fainted when he saw what was happening. When he woke up he shouted for help. The county government sent a forensic doctor and bailiffs to examine the scene. The businessman's wife was naked, her head had been chopped off with a kitchen knife, blood was all over the bed and the floor, it was a horrible sight. Later, the merchant was summoned to the county government office to give a statement, and the county magistrate asked him to provide clues. The businessman only saw a dark shadow and knew nothing else. He could only ask the county magistrate to solve the case as soon as possible and avenge his wife. After a few days, there was no progress in the case. The county magistrate sent people to investigate the merchant's wife's conduct as a womanizer, but everyone gave different opinions and there was no substantial progress. The businessman gradually woke up from his sadness and remembered the last two words of the Feng Shui master, "If you don't wash your hair, you will get seven dou of rice out of ten dou." Yes, a few days ago, his wife greased his hair with Osmanthus oil and he went to bed without washing his hair. How could it be so strange that he didn't die? Recalling the strange things that happened in his business, the businessman felt that it was no coincidence and there must be a mystery behind it. The businessman came to the county government office and met the county magistrate. The county magistrate was an old scholar with good knowledge and integrity. He didn't pay much attention to the merchant's story at first, but then he stared at it with a serious expression. Finally, he paced and pondered, "Ten dou of rice is seven dou, seven dou of rice, and three dou of bran. Could this tell us who the murderer is?" Suddenly the county magistrate asked, "Is there anyone named Kang San or Kang Sandou in your village?" The merchant thought for a while and said, "There is a man named Kang Deyuan in the village. He is the third child in the family. People call him Kang Laosan, but I'm not sure if it's him." The county magistrate asked again, "How old is he? What does he do for a living?" The merchant said, "He is probably less than 30 years old. His father is the head of our village. Kang Laosan doesn't have a proper business. He learned martial arts for a few days, and he's idle all day." When the county magistrate heard it, he slammed the table and said, "Come on, arrest Kang Laosan." He ordered the constable to conduct a thorough search of the area around Kang Laosan's home. Kang Laosan was taken to the lobby, shouting and asking the county magistrate why he arrested him. The county magistrate slammed the gavel and asked Kang Laosan sternly why he killed the merchant's wife. The following scene is the same as in the TV series, so there is no need for this blogger to elaborate. The county magistrate produced the blood-stained clothes and the kitchen knife as evidence, and even wanted to torture him. Kang Lao San could not deny it, so he had to confess the reason and process of the murder. In fact, there are many such people who are extremely cruel to others and kill without blinking an eye, but when it comes to themselves, they feel the pain of a needle pricking their skin through their bones and cannot bear it. Not to mention torture, they have no choice but to obey. It turned out that the merchant often went out, and he was quite old, while his wife was in the prime of her life. She always felt that the merchant's rain was not enough to nourish her own land. By chance, she met Kang Laosan, who was an old hand in the love field. The two of them got along like fish in water. The process can be roughly referred to Ximen Qing and Pan Jinlian in Water Margin. Later, Kang Laosan had the idea of killing the merchant and sleeping with the merchant's wife. It happened that Kang Laosan climbed over the wall to date the merchant's wife that night, but the merchant suddenly came back, and the idea of killing the merchant suddenly came to his mind. He couldn't see clearly who they were in the dark, but when he touched one person's hair, he found that it was moist and smooth, while the other's hair was relatively dry. He then thought that the one with dry hair was the merchant (at that time, rich girls used osmanthus oil to moisten their hair), so he killed him. However, by some mistake, the merchant screamed loudly, which scared Kang Lao San away. Kang Laosan returned home, hid the bloody clothes and threw away the kitchen knife, thinking that no one knew about it. However, he didn't know that the net of heaven is vast and he cannot escape his fate. Only then did the merchant understand the meaning of the Feng Shui master's four words. It was the master's prediction that enabled the merchant to escape disaster several times and turn danger into safety. It was also destined. The county magistrate was good at reasoning and brought the murderer to justice. The merchant never married again and devoted himself to studying the theory of Zhouyi, eventually achieving great success.
