Feng Shui Stories: Good and Evil Will Be Rewarded in the End
Introduction: We often hear the saying that good and evil will be rewarded in the end. We believe that good people will be rewarded and evil people will be punished, so we prefer to be a simple and ordinary good person. There is also a Feng Shui story about this principle. Let’s learn about it together below! If you want to know more about Feng Shui stories, you are welcome to browse more content in the Feng Shui story special topic carefully compiled by Mr. Shui Mo! There is a Huangliangfu River not far from the southwest of Fengjing Town. The river is wide and the water is fast. Not far to the east of Huang Liangfu Bridge, there is a mound in the middle of the river that emerges above the water surface. No matter whether the tide is high or low, the mound always floats with the water, neither submerged nor rising.
It is said that Tudun was connected to the south bank of the river in the past. Not far from the river lived a geomancer named Wang Yangtian, who made a living by reading Feng Shui. Once, a man named Zhang Deli who lived nearby lost his father and wanted to bury him next to the mound, so he asked him to look at the feng shui. The geomancer walked around the mound three times and determined that the water in the mound was extremely bad and it was a dead end. Building a grave there would cause the family to fall into ruin and the family lineage to be cut off. However, the secret could not be revealed, so he kept silent and just advised Zhang Deli to find another place for burial. The Zhang family chose another cemetery. However, Wang was kind-hearted and believed that if someone else chose this place as a grave in the future, they would also suffer a disaster. If the villagers want to avoid this misfortune, they have to buy this piece of land and use it as a cemetery. He wanted to wipe out one family in exchange for the incense of thousands of families. But other people don't know the reason.
Later, Zhang Deli learned that the mound he had originally chosen had become the Wang family's cemetery. He was convinced that Mr. Wang had deceived him and thought, "That mound must be a Feng Shui treasure land. He must have lied to me that the Feng Shui was bad in order to get that land. If the Feng Shui was really bad, then why would he choose this land as his family's cemetery? How could there be such a stupid person in the world?" He also thought, "Why should he be satisfied? I was the one who chose this land first. Humph, it's not that easy!"
So early the next morning, Zhang Deli called a group of people to build a fence to enclose the land. At this moment, there was sudden thunder and lightning, heavy rain fell, and the tide hit the river bank violently. Suddenly, there was a loud "splash", the embankment collapsed, the river water turned and diverted, carrying the mound to the center of the river, forming a "river island". Trapped on this island, Zhang Deli could be swept away by the tide at any time.
At this critical moment, Mr. Wang, the geomancer, came to the riverside. He resolutely jumped into the middle of the river, swam to the island with difficulty, and stretched out an arm, trying to rescue Zhang Deli from danger. However, Zhang Deli mistakenly thought that Mr. Wang was competing with him for this piece of Feng Shui land, and he refused to leave the island. A wave hit, and Zhang Deli gradually sank. The geomancer nearby was also swept into the tide and never came up again. Then the river water slowly receded.
Afterwards, when the villagers learned the whole story from his son, they all praised Wang Yangtian's virtue, saying that because he was kind-hearted, he saved others at the cost of his own misfortune. Later, this desolate mound turned into a Feng Shui treasure land, and people called it "Feng Shui Mound". The geomancer's family had many descendants and prosperous people and livestock; however, the Zhang family was poor and had no descendants to carry on the incense. This really proves the old saying "good is rewarded with good" and "evil is punished with evil"!
