Detailed explanation of the Feng Shui of Chiang Kai-shek's former residence and its relationship with his career success or failure
Introduction: It is actually very appropriate to compare the relationship between Chiang Kai-shek and Mao to that of Zhou Yu and Zhuge Liang during the Three Kingdoms period. Zhou Yu said, "Since I was born, why was Liang born?" Chiang Kai-shek must have had such a sentiment as he was ultimately defeated in the battle with Mao. In this issue, the editor will introduce to you the Feng Shui of Chiang Kai-shek’s former residence. Let’s learn about it together! Feng Shui is a professional term in Feng Shui. Let us take a look at the knowledge about Feng Shui below. Only a few meters in front of Jiang's former residence is the 100-meter-long Shanxi River, which is surrounded by mountains on both sides. The Qinglong Sand on the left is symmetrically guarded by the White Tiger Sand, and in the middle is an endless Chaoshan Mountain. In terms of its shape, it can be classified as a Zhoumi Mingtang, and it has an embracing appearance, which makes it a lucky figure. But according to Shui Linshan’s former residence, the front lacks spaciousness and flatness, and there is no sign of “a hall large enough to accommodate thousands of horses”, let alone any “three halls”. According to the standard that "every piece of land must have three halls", Jiang's former residence can only be regarded as an average place at best. The dragon's lair, on which the great sages and scholars of ancient and modern times have made their fortunes, can be described as a place of great wealth and honor, but its Mingtang often does not meet the requirements of the "three halls" theory, which must be listed first. In Feng Shui practice, if one sticks to the writings of predecessors and does not know how to adapt to changes, one will often "fail to recognize Mount Tai" and miss out on rare and valuable land.

Analyzing the Mingtang of Jiang's former residence, we can use Shanxi River as the dividing line. The area from the former residence to Shanxi River is the inner hall. Not only that, the north of Shanxi River, the left and right sides and the back of the former residence can also be included in the category of the inner hall. The south of Shanxi River, with thousands of towering mountains and a sense of tension and relaxation, can be regarded as the outer hall. The inner and outer halls of the Jiang family's former residence have beautiful sand and water. Their scale, grandeur and splendor, how many "three halls" can compare with them?

There is no fixed standard for judging and grasping the Mingtang. Among the richest and most prosperous places in the world, there are those with three complete halls and those with only one dominant hall. The fact that Jiang's former residence only had two halls, inner and outer, did not detract from its status as a precious place in East China where a true dragon was born; the fact that there was no sign of a "grand hall large enough to accommodate thousands of horses" did not affect Jiang's future status as a powerful commander of the three armies. This fact tells us that as an important evidence of the nobility of the dragon and the establishment of the dragon cave, the number and scope of the Mingtang should have a reference basis, but it must be appropriate and easy to master.

Regarding the "three halls" theory, predecessors also had different opinions. After Xu Shanji and Xu Shanshu quoted the "Three Halls" in "Geographical Knowledge for Sons of Man", they disagreed and believed that: "There are two Mingtangs, the inner Mingtang and the outer Mingtang, also known as the large and small Mingtang."

In addition to the specialness of the Mingtang, there is another place in the Jiang family's former residence that seems to be inconsistent with traditional Feng Shui, that is, the Chao and An mountains. "Geographical Notes for Children" says: "The two mountains, Chao and An, are both mountains in front of the cave. The closer and smaller one is called An, and the farther and higher one is called Chao. 'An' means a noble sitting at the table to issue government orders, and 'Chao' means the host and guest confronting each other with courtesy. Therefore, An Mountain is close and small, while Chao Mountain is high and far away." It is generally believed that the land must have Chao and An Mountains, and they must be reflected in the front and behind. Only in this way can it have a larger scale, and with layers of curtains covering it, protecting it, and blocking it, it will appear extremely noble. However, the former residence of the Jiang family faces a large river in front, and one can only see the front mountain worship, with the worship and the table combined into one. There is no clear-cut and gradually progressive arrangement of the worship and the table, but it does not detract from its great nobility. Why?

In addition to the extraordinary momentum of the dragon and the spacious and meticulous Luocheng, the more important and unique evidence of the nobility of the Jiang family's former residence is its court response, which is a truly special court that is eye-opening. On the mountain of Chaoying, tall and huge stars rise up, and people from ten or a hundred miles away come to pay homage to it. This is the special worship. The veins of the same clan cross the mountains lined up in front of the cave. The dragon's momentum does not stop moving forward and pass by the mountains that borrow the direction. They are not special directions. Techao is the most noble form of response, meaning coming specially to pay respect. Chaoying includes Chaobai, but Chaoying cannot be equated with Chaobai. Although the two are only one word apart, there is a world of difference between them. The mountain facing the cave in the distance, no matter its height, is acceptable as long as it is favorable. When worshipping, the mountain must be low, like a minister bowing, lying in front of the dragon and tiger sand and looking up, or bowing his head waiting for orders; or it may become a crouching tiger or worshiping a dragon, kneeling in front of the cave and doing the ritual of worshipping, fulfilling the duty of a minister; or it may be a round and mellow golden star that is affectionate and yielding, facing the master and worshiping, three or five numbers are ordinary, and more than ten are especially valuable; or it may be a forest of sharp and beautiful strokes, like fireworks and powder, and so on.

"Sand Method" in Volume 3 of "Essentials of Geography" says: "For the facing mountain, we want it to have affection for us, like a guest meeting the host, a minister facing the king, a son serving his father, and a wife following her husband." It also says: "There are several types of facing mountains, which must be observed. There are special facing mountains, horizontal facing mountains, and false facing mountains. The mountains that come with rain (two) waters from afar and bow down are called special facing mountains." Mr. Wu said: "The facing mountain originally loves to come specially." Yang Yunsong said: "The facing mountain is as far away as the dragon, and they come to accompany us from the same ancestor." It also says: "The guest mountain comes from thousands of miles away to face, and it is a near case when it faces in front of you. The special facing mountain in front of Jiang's former residence is exactly the same as described by the knowledgeable Feng Shui master Yang Yunsong. It is a posture that ordinary people can hardly imagine.

More than 50 kilometers southwest of Xikou is Tiantai Mountain, which has an altitude of 1,098 meters. The Techao Mountain in front of the former residence rushes hundreds of miles from the Tiantai Mountain. At first, there are several mountains over a thousand meters high, followed by the first peak with an altitude of 945 meters. They go all the way north, pass Dayan, spread their wings, and stretch northward to 10 kilometers south of Xikou, where there rises the Dalei Mountain with an altitude of 809.3 meters. It descends and opens up, with a front area 40 miles wide, and people prostrate themselves in worship. While the mountains are generally prostrate, they are also divided into three categories with no forgetting their superiority or inferiority. The front branch of the middle route came straight from the north of Dalei Mountain, like a general who was eager to protect his master and come to seek credit. He dressed up and met his master in front of Shanxi River, bowed his head and waited for orders. The left branch crossed Shanxi River to the west, passed Bizhu, and then encircled from the west to the northeast, and stood tall and straight to the south of Xialan Reservoir in front of the pavilion on the right side of the former residence, serving as a strong guard. On the right road in the east, another branch of the Dalei Mountain came out, winding to the northeast, first ending in Fenghua City, then circling back and going straight out to the northwest. At the end, there is a majestic golden star, a unique mountain, which suppressed and deterred the outer mountains scattered to the east of the Qinglong side of the former residence, stabilized the popularity, and gathered the military spirit. To the west of the river mouth, it stood alone in the south of Shanxi River. After passing through this obstruction, the stream water unexpectedly twists and turns repeatedly, goes around the north and flows out to the east, which is the typical shape of the water outlet of Beichen Star Town. The precious sand at Shuikou also proves from another aspect how large and rare the inland formations are.

The North Star rises up tenaciously about 7 kilometers east of Xikou, and interacts with the Lion and Elephant about 3 kilometers northeast of the Xikou gateway, which has greatly improved the hidden dangers of the water mouth of Jiang's former residence. Chiang wiped out the warlords and monopolized the power in the turbulent times with numerous factions and powerful men. Even after he encountered fierce attacks from powerful enemies, he did not fall. He retreated to a stable position and even planned to make a comeback in Taiwan, not forgetting to "counterattack the mainland". This is the origin of his feng shui.

In front of Jiang's former residence, there are thousands of towering mountains to the south of the stream, and people from a hundred miles away pay homage to them. But the strange thing is that although the mountains of Techao are full of peaks, like thousands of horses galloping, when you look closely, there are only a few layers of beautiful sand, and no mountains are visible. How can this phenomenon be identified in Feng Shui?

Feng shui masters of ancient and modern times pay great attention to observing the situation when approaching the cemetery. In practice, it is common to build a wall or a screen wall in front of the cemetery to improve the feng shui. So, should we use the limitation of vision and what we see as the standard to determine the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of the two mountains facing the cave? If this is the case, can the mountain of worship that is blocked in front still function?

The practice of building walls and screen walls is easier to understand. When the Yuanchen water flows and there is a wilderness in front of the cave or it looks like an inauspicious sign, it is necessary and necessary to improve the feng shui locally in front of the cave. Doing so, even if it cannot fundamentally eliminate the original feng shui defects, can at least play a certain role in reducing consumption and eliminating disadvantages, and there will also be obvious improvements in the sensory experience.

On the issue of facing mountains and hidden arches, the senior Feng Shui masters all agree that as long as it exists objectively, its nature is the same, whether it is within sight or not. Moreover, to some extent, the power of hidden and secret arches is slightly better than that of the Ming Dynasty. The front of Jiang’s former residence is a wonderful situation that shows “the bright dynasty is not as good as the dark arch”!

The mountain of Chaoying can be divided into special Chao, borrowed Chao and false Chao in nature. Special Chao is very auspicious, while false Chao is inauspicious. In form, there are straight Chao and horizontal Chao. Both straight Chao and horizontal Chao can bring honor. Looking at the direction of the cave facing the mountain, eight or nine out of ten are facing horizontally or borrowedly, while special directions are extremely rare. The Baili Special Dynasty cannot be prepared without a great and noble place. Among all the characters in this book, Baili Techao is the only one, and can be said to be unparalleled in the world. Chiang's opponent Mao, just in terms of the Chao and An mountains in Shaoshan Feng Shui, is incomparable with Chiang's Siming Mountain as the Taizu cave and another branch of Tiantai Mountain, which is hundreds of miles away, as the Chao.
