How to properly raise Feng Shui fish

Introduction: Feng Shui fish farming is different from general fish farming. Feng Shui fish farming uses Feng Shui methods to raise fish and also follows certain requirements and taboos. So, how to raise Feng Shui fish correctly? What are the Feng Shui considerations for fish farming? What taboos do you need to know about Feng Shui fish farming? Let’s find out together! Below are some related articles about fish tank Feng Shui. Let’s take a look.

1. Why should we keep fish in our homes?

“Mountains represent nobility, water represents wealth” and “Water is wealth”. The gathering and dispersion of wealth are absolutely related to water. Water includes rivers, ditches, roads, and of course fish tanks, water wheels, feng shui wheels, etc. that are used to make and gather wealth. Feng Shui is naturally inseparable from "water", so traditional Feng Shui attaches great importance to both "incoming water" and "outgoing water", believing that this will have a great impact on the fortune of a house. Think about the more prosperous places in the world. Most of them have abundant water resources and are close to seaports, lakes, rivers, etc. This is the best proof.

Generally, placing a fish tank to raise fish in a company office or residence has two functions. The positive function is to gather qi, that is, to gather prosperous qi, so that wealth can be gathered and prospered. Another function is to block evil (harming people invisibly is called evil), that is, the power of water can be used to block the energy of decline and imprisonment, so as not to hurt people invisibly, so people believe that: "Energy disperses with the wind and stops with water." Therefore, water has the dual functions of stopping the decline of qi and gathering the prosperity of qi. Water, especially flowing water, can stimulate the good or bad energy in the direction where it is located. Different schools of thought have different uses, but generally they start with the number, color, and variety of fish. For example, the number of fish is used to match the hexagrams, and the color of the fish is used to represent certain elements. In fact, the type of fish alone can bring good luck and avoid misfortune.

Because fish tanks are containers for holding water, in addition to their ornamental value, they are also considered a tool for improving luck. If used properly, they can ward off evil spirits and bring wealth. Fish and water coexist, making the interior more lively and having a positive effect on the feng shui of the house. Therefore, it is often closely related to the financial fortune of the house owner and the company, and the fish tank has a strong effect of promoting wealth. But everything has two sides, and water is also a double-edged sword. If used improperly, it will not only fail to bring wealth, but will also cause financial loss and casualties.

Those whose birth characters lack water can improve their luck by raising fish, which is very beneficial. Those whose birth characters are incompatible with water should not keep fish, so as to avoid the loss of wealth. If you don't know whether your birth date is suitable for raising fish, the easiest way is to verify it based on your past experience. If you raised fish at home in the past, your family will be prosperous. You should continue to raise fish, even if you move to a new house, you should not interrupt. However, if you have kept fish in your home in the past and it has caused bad luck in your home, you should stop keeping fish as soon as possible. According to feng shui, you should not even place objects related to water in the living room.

2. The Five Elements must be considered when choosing a fish tank

From the perspective of Feng Shui, in principle, irregular or triangular fish tanks should not be used. The best fish tanks for raising fish are rectangular or round. A round fish tank is the most suitable, but due to factors such as house structure, round fish tanks are less common. The shape of the fish tank varies depending on where it is placed.

The relationship between the shape of the fish tank and the five elements is as follows:
1. The round fish tank belongs to the metal element in the five elements and can generate water, so it is a symbol of good luck.
2. The rectangular fish tank belongs to the element of wood in the five elements. Although it leaks water, the two have a mutual generation relationship and can also be used.
3. The square fish tank belongs to the earth element in the five elements. Earth can control water, which will create a restraining force. Therefore, when choosing a fish tank, it is not advisable to choose a square fish tank that belongs to the earth element in the five elements.
4. The hexagonal fish tank uses six as the number of water, so it belongs to the water element in the Five Elements and can be used.
5. A triangular, octagonal or even polygonal fish tank belongs to the element of fire in the five elements. Water and fire are mixed, so it is not suitable to be used in the wealth position to promote wealth.

According to the above five elements analysis, the most auspicious shapes are rectangle, circle and hexagon, which are beneficial to the layout of the wealth position to promote wealth. I hope everyone will pay more attention when choosing fish tanks in the future. The fish tank in the house or office must be placed in the right direction:
 Square or rectangle------Place it at the edge;
 Triangle------Put it at the corner;
 Round shape---Put it in the center or at the door;
 Hexagonal shape------This shape is not suitable for placement because it has a strong evil spirit;
 Semicircular------Put it at the edge;

3. The number of fish you raise is not arbitrary

The shape of the fish tank is important, but is there a certain rule for the number of fish to be raised? In fact, in addition to considering the colorfulness of the fish species, it is also appropriate to consider an odd number of fish. Because Feng Shui uses Luoshu numbers to match the number of fish to be raised. Four and nine are the innate gold numbers, and seven is the total acquired gold number. Below I will take the trouble to introduce two different bases for determining the number of fish to be raised:

1. The number of fish to be raised is determined according to the river map
The rhyme of the creation numbers of heaven and earth in "Hetu Luoshui" says: "Heaven produces water, and the earth makes up six parts of it; earth produces fire, and heaven makes up seven parts of it; heaven produces wood, and the earth makes up eight parts of it; earth produces metal, and heaven makes up nine parts of it; heaven produces earth, and the earth makes up ten parts of it." Based on the above assumptions, as long as you find out the five elements of the householder's fate, you can find out how many fish you should raise to match it.

Most people recommend using an odd number for the number of fish they raise, because it is a yang number. Some people also advocate that the decision should be based on the fate of the person in charge of the company: for example, if the person’s fate is Kan, the number of fish should be one, six or seven. For people born in the year of Li, the number of fish is two, seven or nine. For people with Zhen or Xun destiny, the number of fish is three, eight or eleven. For people with Gan or Dui as their destiny, the number of fish is four, nine or thirteen. For people with Kun and Gen destiny, the number of fish is five, ten or fifteen. This is based on the five elements numbers in the River Chart and is provided for reference only. For the fortune-telling hexagram, you can refer to the relevant chapters of the book "Chinese Feng Shui Practical Encyclopedia" edited by me, and you will know the answer with just a glance. However, according to experience, as long as there is running water (flowing people), it will be effective.

The details are as follows:
Rat, Pig - Water: 1 or 6
Tiger, Rabbit - Wood: 3 or 8
Snake, Horse - Fire: 2 or 7
Monkey, Rooster - Metal: 4 or 9 or 5
Dragon, Dog, Ox, Sheep - Earth: 5, 10, 4, 9

For example, if the householder or company manager's five elements belong to "water", he should keep one light-colored fish and six dark-colored fish, such as the silver-white Lucky Fish, or six dark-colored fish, such as the dark red Lionhead, to fit the number of "water" formed by one and six, and the rest can be deduced similarly.

2. The number of fish to be raised is determined according to Luoshu numbers. In addition to using the above method to determine the number of fish to be raised, you can also use Luoshu numbers to match the number of fish to be raised.
One line - one white water, can bring wealth.
The second one - the second black earth restrains water, which is not good for wealth.
Three - Three green wood leaks water, which is not good for wealth.
Four - Four green wood. Although it leaks water, four green is the star of literature and is considered auspicious.
Five - The five yellow earths restrain water, which is not good for wealth.
Six - Six white gold produces water, which is good for wealth.
Seventh line - Seven red gold produces water. Although it is an evil star, it has a mutual generation relationship and is considered auspicious.
Eight - Eight White Earth restrains Water, but Eight White is the Zuo Fu Star and is a lucky star.
Nine lines - Nine Purple Fire, but the right weak star, is a lucky star, can bring wealth.
If there are more than ten items, remove the integer. For example, if there are twenty items, count them as two, and if there are fifteen items, count them as five.

4. The species of fish to be raised should be considered both for the individual and the industry

Speaking of this, some people may ask, what kind of fish is best to raise? The answer is to raise strong and easy-to-raise fish. Most people raise goldfish, because goldfish have strong vitality, are more durable and easy to care for. It is not advisable to raise expensive and delicate fish. In addition, the company can also consider the following species:

The body of the dragon's tongue fish is like a sharp knife, and the fish is quite ferocious. It is generally used to face the evil side to ward off evil. In addition, it is quite effective in enhancing wealth, because the fish is fierce and generally beneficial to side income. Many so-called "sideline" industries with high risks but high profits, such as mahjong parlors and nightclubs, like to raise it.

Fish with black bodies, such as black mollies and black peonies, are generally used to ward off evil spirits. Among them, black mollies are more effective in warding off evil spirits, while black peonies are effective in both warding off evil spirits and attracting wealth, but their nature is softer.

Colorful angelfish, koi, goldfish and other fish are brightly colored and gentle in nature, so people mostly use them to bring positive wealth. The effect of these fish is that they can make interpersonal relationships harmonious and reduce obstacles in doing things. In terms of actual wealth growth, the speed is relatively slow, but because the luck turns to smooth, the person involved is in a happier mood.

5. Choose the color of the fish carefully

The color of the fish will have more or less influence on the motivation to make money. Therefore, we should also pay attention to this when choosing fish, and generally choose according to the five elements color matching and the mutual generation and restraint:

If the color of the fish is gold or white, it belongs to the element of gold in the Five Elements. Gold can produce water, so it has a stronger power to attract wealth.
If the color of the fish is black, blue or gray, it belongs to the water element in the Five Elements. Water can bring wealth and has a strong power to promote wealth.
If the color of the fish is cyan or green, it belongs to the element of wood in the five elements. Wood will drain water, and its power to attract wealth is weaker.
The color of the fish is yellow or brown, which belongs to the earth element in the Five Elements. Earth can overcome water, so its power to attract wealth is very weak.

Generally speaking, most people choose red, white and black as auspicious colors. Many business owners prefer six reds and one black, red representing gold and black representing water. Metal can produce water, and water can make water prosperous. The combination of one and six forms the innate water number, which is very auspicious.
