11. Three Yuan and Nine Yun

A Yuan Dynasty lasts for 180 years. A Yuan Dynasty includes three Yuan Dynasties, each Yuan Dynasty lasts for 60 years. 60 years make up a Jiazi period, so each Yuan Dynasty starts from Jiazi and ends from Guihai. The Nine Cycles are numbers one to nine in the Luoshu. A great cycle is 180 years long and is evenly divided into nine periods, each period lasting 20 years. So, every three yuan form a yuan.
