Introduction: This article talks about the geographical knowledge and practice of time and space, that is, the terrain, orientation and internal structure of the house selected within a certain period of time. Therefore, Feng Shui is time-dependent. Good Feng Shui may turn into bad Feng Shui over time. This can be used as an explanation for the saying “wealth does not last for more than three generations”. The choice of time should be based on the fortune of the earth, that is, the fortune of the earth in the universe. That is the so-called "Three Yuans and Nine Cycles". One Yuan lasts 60 years, Three Yuans lasts 180 years, divided into nine cycles, each lasting 20 years, namely One White, Two Black, Three Green, Four Green, Five Yellow, Six White, Seven Red, Eight White and Nine Purple. The previous one was the Seven Red Cycle, the current one is the Eight White Cycle (2004-2023), and the next one will be the Nine Purple Cycle, and it cycles in order. Feng Shui is a professional term in Feng Shui. Let us take a look at the knowledge about Feng Shui below. 1. Ten Heavenly Stems: Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, Gui.position: Jia and Yi belong to wood and are located in the east. Bing and Ding belong to fire and are located in the south. Wu and Ji belong to earth and are located in the center. Geng and Xin belong to metal and are located in the west. Ren and Gui belong to water and are located in the north. 2. Five Qi:Jia and Ji combine to form earth, and they will be transformed in the months of Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei, Si and Wu. Yi and Geng form a metal, and it will be transformed in the months of Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei, Shen and You. Bing and Xin combine to form water, which can be transformed in the months of Shen, You, Hai, Zi, Chou and Chen. Ding and Ren combine to form wood, and it will be transformed in the months of Hai, Zi, Yin, Mao, Chen and Wei. Wu and Gui combine to form fire, and it will be transformed in the months of Yin, Mao, Si, Wu, Wei and Xu. 3. The twelve Earthly Branches: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu and Hai.Six-in-one: Zi and Chou combine to form earth. Yin and Hai combine to form wood. Mao and Xu combine to form fire. Chenyou alloy, Si and Shen combine to form water. Wu and Wei combine to form earth. Three-in-one Bureau: Shen, Zi and Chen form a water bureau. The combination of Hai, Mao and Wei forms a wood bureau. Yin, Wu and Xu combine to form a fire bureau. Si, You, and Chou form a gold bureau. The four elements of Chen, Xu, Chou and Wei form the earth bureau Three parties: The combination of Hai, Zi and Chou forms the Northern Water Bureau The combination of Yin, Mao and Chen forms the Eastern Wood Bureau Si, Wu and Wei will form the southern fire bureau The combination of Shen, You and Xu forms the Western Gold Bureau Three punishments: Zi and Mao are in conflict, which is a rude punishment. Yin, Si and Shen are in conflict with each other, which is a powerful conflict. Chou, Wei and Xu are in conflict with each other, which is a punishment without grace. Chen, Wu, You and Hai, self-inflicted punishment. 4. Xiantian Bagua:The innate Bagua is the body, which represents time and space. The innate Bagua is based on Kun standing on the northern hemisphere, with the sky (Kan) on top and the south (south), the earth (Kun) on the bottom and the north (north), the east (Li) on the left and the west (Kan) on the right. The saying "the sky is south and the earth is north" comes from the innate Bagua. 5. Postnatal Bagua:The Postnatal Eight Trigrams are used for directions. The Postnatal Bagua is placed flat on the ground, and a person stands on the north side of the northern hemisphere. Li on top and Kan on bottom, Zhen on the left and Dui on the right. The north is Kan, the south is Li, the east is Zhen, the west is Dui, the northeast is Gen, the southeast is Xun, the southwest is Kun, and the northwest is Qian. 6. River Chart:The numbers in the River Chart show: one and six are in the north, representing water; two and seven are in the south, representing fire; thirty and eight are in the east, representing wood; and forty and nine are in the west, representing metal. Fifty is in the middle and represents earth. One and six are of the same clan, twenty and seven are friends, thirty and eight are fellow travelers, forty and nine are friends, and fifty stay together. For example, in the same palace: one and six combine to form water, two and seven combine to form fire, three and eight combine to form wood, four and nine combine to form metal. 7. Luoshu:The Luoshu diagram has: nine on the back and one on the feet, three on the left and seven on the right, two and four are shoulders, six and eight are feet, and five is in the center. The Luoshu diagram is often used in Sanyuan geography with the innate Bagua, but is rarely used in Xuankong studies. Nine Palace Numbers and Hexagrams: One White Kan, Water in the North, Three Mountains of Ren, Zi and Gui. Two black Kun, southwest earth, three mountains Wei, Kun and Shen. Three green Zhen, eastern wood, three mountains Jia, Mao and Yi. Four Green Xun, Southeast Wood, Chen, Xun and Si three mountains. The center palace of the Five Yellows is Wu and Ji earth. Six white stems, northwest gold, three mountains of Xu, Gan and Hai. Seven Red Dui, Western Gold, Three Mountains Geng, Xi and Xin. Eight White Gen, Northeast Earth, Three Mountains of Chou, Gen and Yin. Jiuzi Li, fire of the south, three mountains of Bingwu and Ding. Xuan Kong studies focuses on the numbers 1 to 9. 8. Twenty-four Mountains: composed of eight gans, four dimensions and twelveWu and Ji Earth are in the center, not on the twenty-four mountains. Four dimensions: Qian, Kun, Gen, and Xun. Each of the twenty-four mountains occupies 15 degrees, totaling 360 degrees. 9. OrientationIn rural areas, the direction is based on the door of the house, while in cities, the direction of residential buildings is based on the sun and the air vent. 10. The Five Elements are mutually reinforcing and mutually restraining:Five Elements: Gold, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth Mutual generation: metal generates water, water generates wood, wood generates fire, fire generates earth, and earth generates metal. Mutually restraining: Metal restrains Wood, Wood restrains Earth, Earth restrains Water, Water restrains Fire, Fire restrains Metal. When metal is prosperous, it needs fire to become a vessel; when fire is prosperous, it needs wood to help each other; when water is prosperous, it needs earth to become a pond; when earth is prosperous, it needs wood to become unblocked; when wood is prosperous, it needs metal to become a pillar. Gold depends on earth for its birth, too much earth will bury it;… Gold can produce water, too much water will sink it;… When weak gold meets fire, it will melt immediately;… When strong gold meets water, its edge will be blunted;… 11. Three Yuan and Nine YunA Yuan Dynasty lasts for 180 years. A Yuan Dynasty includes three Yuan Dynasties, each Yuan Dynasty lasts for 60 years. 60 years make up a Jiazi period, so each Yuan Dynasty starts from Jiazi and ends from Guihai. The Nine Cycles are numbers one to nine in the Luoshu. A great cycle is 180 years long and is evenly divided into nine periods, each period lasting 20 years. So, every three yuan form a yuan. The division of the three yuan and nine cycles in modern times: Shangyuan: The first period was Kan Shui, 1864-1883. The second period is Kun Earth, 1884-1903. The third period is Zhen Wood, 1904-1923. Zhongyuan: Siyuan Xunmu, 1924-1943. The central palace of the Five Elements is Kun Earth, 1944-1963. The sixth period is Qianjin, 1964-1983. Lower Yuan: The seventh period is the year of gold, from 1984 to 2003. The eighth period is Gen Earth, 2004-2023. The ninth cycle is Fire, 2024-2043. The Three Yuans and Nine Cycles started in 1864 (Jia Zi), continued to the Lower Yuan and Nine Cycles, and ended in 2043 (Gui Hai), a total of three sixty Jia Zis - one hundred and eighty years. Example: The eighth period of the Lower Yuan is Dui Yuan, with eight white earths in charge. Therefore, in the sky plate (directional plate) and ground plate (mountain plate) of the Flying Star Plate, wherever the eight stars are, there are prosperous stars. The star on duty is the prosperous star, the star in the future is the nearly prosperous star, the star that has passed is the declining star, and the star that has been gone for a long time is the dead star. In the eighth period of the Lower Yuan Dynasty, eight is the current prosperous star, nine is the nearby prosperous star, and one is the distant prosperous star. Seven is the star of decline, five and six are the stars of death. Two, three, and four are transitional stars, and we only need to discuss their five elements without discussing their prosperity or decline. 12. One hexagram governs the mountainEight Trigrams: one Kan, two Kun, three Zhen, four Xun, five Center, six Gan, seven Dui, eight Gen, nine Li. This is the Luoshu Bagua. 13. One hexagram governs three mountainsOne is Kan, Ren, Zi, and Gui; two is Kun, Wei, Kun, Shen; three is Zhen, Jia, Mao, and Yi; four is Xun, Chen, Xun, and Si; six is Gan, Xu, Gan, and Hai; seven is Dui, Geng, You, and Xin; eight is Gen, Chou, Gen, and Yin; nine is Li, Bing, Wu, and Ding. Heaven, Earth and Human Yuan: In the Twenty-Four Mountain Diagram, looking clockwise from the inside to the outside, the front is the Earth Yuan Dragon, the middle is the Heaven Yuan Dragon, and the back is the Human Yuan Dragon. Determine which Yuanlong it is by the orientation. If the orientation is Di Yuan Dragon, then use Di Yuan Dragon. If the orientation is Tianyuan Dragon, then the Tianyuan Dragon will be used when arranging the chart. If the orientation is the human Yuan Long, then the human Yuan Long will be used in arranging the chart. |
