Why do we sweep tombs during the winter solstice?

According to existing documents, China had already used a gnomon to observe the sun and determine the winter solstice during the Spring and Autumn Period more than 2,500 years ago. It is said that during the Tang and Song dynasties, the winter solstice was the day to offer sacrifices to heaven and ancestors. The emperor would go to the suburbs to hold a grand ceremony to offer sacrifices to heaven, and the people would worship their parents and elders. After the Song Dynasty, the Winter Solstice gradually became a festival for worshiping ancestors and gods. During the winter solstice in the Ming and Qing dynasties, the emperor would hold a grand ceremony to worship heaven, which was called "Winter Solstice Ceremony to Heaven." During this period, people also have customs such as ancestor worship and family gatherings.
Therefore, in my country, there is a custom of sweeping tombs and worshiping ancestors during the winter solstice.
