He walked and asked along the way, climbed over one mountain after another, waded through one river after another, wore out one pair of shoes after another, and finally met Fei Changfang. Fei Changfang said to him kindly: "I see that you are determined to eliminate harm for the people, so I will accept you as my apprentice." He handed Huan Jing a Qinglong sword and taught him martial arts to subdue demons. Huan Jing studied hard and practiced diligently every day, and finally mastered the swordsmanship to perfection. He found that there was no one in the village, so he looked around and finally found that the villagers were hiding in the mountains. He then rushed up the mountain screaming.
