Once, the emperor was preparing to repair the capital's sewers because they were blocked and often caused flooding during heavy rains. After hearing this, Yan Song hurriedly advised: "Your Majesty, this is absolutely not allowed! Once the sewers are repaired, it will be possible to drain water, but from the perspective of feng shui, water belongs to wealth, and draining water is equivalent to draining wealth. If all the wealth in the capital is drained away, Your Majesty will have no money to spend."
As he loved money so much, he naturally accumulated a lot of gold and silver. Since the warehouse was full, they dug a large cellar that was ten feet square and five feet deep. It took three days and nights to haul the silver to fill the cellar, but there was still a lot of silver that was not put into the cellar. Yan Song stood by the cellar, looking at the piles of silver, and suddenly felt sad: "Money has always been a disaster. The more you save, the greater the disaster will be in the future!" Because of this worry, he was depressed for several days.
On this day, Yan Song went to the street alone in casual clothes to relax. Turning a corner, a Taoist priest came from the opposite side, holding a divination tablet in his hand and shouting all the way: "One word can determine good or bad luck, and a thousand gold coins can determine fortune or misfortune. This poor Taoist priest has just come to this precious place, and I will tell fortunes and read words. Six hundred coins per divination!"
Yan Song's heart moved, and he looked at him carefully. He saw that the Taoist was about forty years old, tall and thin, with bright eyes and a clear mind, and he seemed to have some of the temperament of an immortal. So he called the Taoist priest and sat down at a tea stall nearby.
The Taoist said his surname was Lan and he had been practicing Taoism in Mount Zhongnan since he was young. After serving tea, Yan Song wrote the word "prisoner" and asked the Taoist to calculate it. When the Taoist saw him, he was amazed and bowed to Yan Song, saying, "So you are Grand Tutor Yan. I am so sorry for your disrespect." When Yan Song heard this, he was deeply impressed by the Taoist priest. He looked around and signaled the Taoist priest to speak in a low voice, while he poured out his heart.
After hearing this, the Taoist said, "So the Grand Master is worried that the family has too much money to spend. That's easy. If the son can't spend it all, give it to the grandson. If the grandson can't spend it all, give it to the great-grandson. Descendants of the family will move the mountain like ants. One day, they will move it all clean." Yan Song smiled bitterly, "Master Taoist, you are wrong. There must be a way to spend money. If the descendants become officials, the money can be spent on wine and women or on bribes. It can be regarded as being used in the right way. If the descendants become ordinary people in the future, there is so much money in the family that they will either be framed and exploited by the officials, or be targeted by bandits and robbed openly or secretly. It will bring disaster sooner or later!"
Upon hearing this, the Taoist pondered for a moment: "The Grand Master is indeed insightful and far-sighted. In fact, this is easy to do. Isn't it enough to let your descendants serve as officials for generations?" Yan Song sneered: "The ancients said that the blessings of a gentleman only last for five generations. It means that a person with great virtue can only bless five generations of descendants. I have been in the officialdom for a long time, and I am also an experienced person. It is not easy to serve as an official for generations." The Taoist nodded: "Yes! People live in the world under the rule of heaven and earth. If they can get the care of the laws of nature and geography, their blessings will surely last for a long time. If the Grand Master can find a Feng Shui treasure land and be buried there a hundred years later, it will surely protect his descendants for ten generations. Among them, one will surely become a minister, and there will be many small officials such as prefectures, counties, etc."
Yan Song rolled his eyes and asked, "What about after ten generations?" The Taoist shook his head and said, "That is up to fate, and it is beyond human control." Hearing this, Yan Song could no longer hold back and bowed to the Taoist, "I have heard that the geomancy of the Zhongnan Taoist School is unparalleled in the world. I will leave this matter to you, Taoist. If you succeed, I will thank you with a cellar of silver!"

2. Gray Mouse Riding Rabbit

More than a month passed in a blink of an eye. Yan Song was practicing calligraphy at home when a servant came to report that someone wanted to see him.
Yan Song hurriedly ordered wine to be served to welcome him. After three rounds of wine and five kinds of dishes, the Taoist said, "I followed the order of the Grand Tutor and found a lucky spot in Fenyi County, the Grand Tutor's hometown. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the wind is hidden and the energy is gathered. The feng shui is excellent. If someone is buried there, he will become a prime minister in the future. But the terrain is too large, and I couldn't find the lucky spot at the moment, so I used the stars to locate it at night. At midnight, I was using a compass to measure the Big Dipper, and suddenly a gust of wind blew, and I saw a hole in the ground, and a little man as big as a fist rushed out of it, muttering something, riding a horse as big as a puppy. I used the compass to knock the little man down, and the horse fled in panic. In the moonlight, it turned out to be a white rabbit."
As he spoke, the Taoist took out an object and handed it over: "That little man became like this when he fell to the ground." Yan Song took it and saw that it was a gray and fluffy object. Its texture was like stone or jade and it felt warm to the touch, but its shape was ugly and he couldn't tell what it was.
Yan Song put the object on the table. Suddenly, several cats looking for food under the table screamed and rushed towards it. Yan Song suddenly realized: "This is a rat!" The Taoist slapped his forehead and said: "Grand Master, I remember what you said. When the villain rushed out of the cave, he shouted 'Gray rat riding rabbit, the power of heaven changes'. I don't know what it means. Later, I measured it and found that this cave is in a lucky spot of Feng Shui."
As he spoke, the Taoist opened the hand-drawn feng shui map. Yan Song nodded after reading it: "Yes, this place has the momentum of a golden hook fishing for the moon, it is a very auspicious place. To be honest with you, Taoist priest, I have lived here in my early years. I vaguely remember that it was an oil mill in the past, but later it fell into decline.
