Every time I went there, I saw two old men with white beards and silver hair, fairy-like bones and extraordinary demeanor playing chess on a large square stone on the top of the mountain. Seeing the two of them coming, the two immortals stood up, nodded and smiled slightly. Then, concentrate on playing chess. One day, Taksi fell ill, and Wang Gao went up the mountain alone, where he saw the two immortals still playing chess. However, they ignored Wang Gao's arrival and acted as if no one was there. Wang Gao was very unhappy because the two immortals were rude and looked down on him. After I came back, I told my wife in the evening. The wife said, "Go again tomorrow morning and ask." The next morning, Wang Gao went up the mountain alone to cut grass again. He saw the two immortals playing chess, but he still ignored them. He stepped forward, bowed deeply, and said, "Taksi and I are both slaves. Why don't you pay attention to me?" The immortal replied, "He is a dragon in the world, and you are just a commoner." Having said that, he disappeared. Wang Gao was very surprised. In the evening, when he returned home, he told his wife: "The immortal said that Taksi is a dragon and I am a commoner. In the future, Taksi's descendants will surely become kings and landlords. Are you willing to let our descendants also share some of the glory?" The wife said: "If I am willing, why should I ask for help?" Wang Gao said: "Marry my daughter to my ear." Later, Wang Gao's daughter Emeqi married Takshi and became pregnant. The baby was born after a 13-month pregnancy. It was the 38th year of the Jiajing reign, and she gave birth to a boy. When he was alive, the room was filled with red light and fragrance. He was named Nurhaci. He was the founding emperor of the Later Jin Dynasty and Emperor Taizu of the Qing Dynasty. The chessboard stone on Yantong Mountain still exists today. |
