The devil said, I cannot cause chaos now because your Dharma is too righteous, but when the Dharma Ending Age comes, I will send my disciples to wear your robes, sit in your temple, and disrupt your Dharma! After hearing this, Shakyamuni Buddha burst into tears. Liu Bowen of the Ming Dynasty also talked about the coming of the Buddha in the future, saying that at that time all the gods in heaven and on earth would be in the midst of an endless catastrophe. Judging from historical records and various legends, Maitreya Buddha is the only hope for salvation for all living beings in the future. According to historical records, the monk Budai also achieved Maitreya Buddha through his practice. According to the "Biographies of Eminent Monks in the Song Dynasty", Qieci was a native of Mingzhou during the Five Dynasties, also known as Changtingzi. He often held a tin staff with a cloth bag hanging on it, and went in and out of towns and villages, begging in the areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. He was short and fat, with a big belly, and his speech was erratic. He sat or lay down anywhere. What he said to people was good or bad and quite often came true. He could predict whether it would be sunny or rainy. "When it was going to rain, he would wear wet cloth shoes; when it was going to be extremely dry, he would drag wooden clogs. The residents took this as a proof." Because he always carried a cloth bag, he was called Cloth Bag Monk. Maitreya Buddha is a person of great compassion and power. His tolerant nature enables him to give those who have made mistakes and done evil in the world the opportunity to correct and make amends. People learn the Buddha's compassion and tolerance, and learn to treat others with peace and humility. Bearing humiliation and carrying heavy burdens - Maitreya Buddha is extremely wise and has long been aware of worldly affairs. He often incarnates as a mortal and travels around. He has long been indifferent to the ridicule and scolding of the world. Only by bearing humiliation and carrying heavy burdens can he accomplish great things. Maitreya Buddha has been deeply revered throughout history. Xuanzang, the Tripitaka Master of the Tang Dynasty, was enlightened by Maitreya Buddha and two Bodhisattvas in a dream because of his master, Master Jiexian of Nalanda Monastery in India. The master waited for three years before accepting Xuanzang as his disciple. Therefore, he yearned for the Pure Land of Maitreya all his life. "The Biography of the Late Master Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty" says: "Since he was young, the master has always wished to be reborn in the place of Maitreya Buddha and travel to the West. He also heard that Asanga Bodhisattva and his brothers also wished to be reborn in Tushita Heaven and serve Maitreya. They all got what they wanted and their wishes were fulfilled. This strengthened his motivation. He made jade flowers by himself, and whenever he translated and worshiped, he always wished to ascend to Tushita Heaven and see Maitreya Buddha."
