His ability to stand out in that era has a lot to do with his ability, but the Feng Shui legend of his family’s ancestral tomb has always been a legend. Let us take a look at it together. Buddha's Hand Mountain is located in Guoshan Village, Xiexing Town, Guang'an District, about 3 kilometers away from Deng's former residence. The unique shape of Buddha's Hand Mountain is said to resemble the Buddha sitting in meditation on a lotus platform, with his left hand making a gesture and his right hand resting on his knee, with a solemn expression. In the distance, there are layers of shallow hills, winding and meandering, just like pilgrims, bowing devoutly to the ground. The Weishui River below your feet is like a silver thread floating down, winding around mountains and ridges, and flowing eastward. There is a very mysterious legend among the people about the origin of the Deng family's ancestral tomb in Foshou Mountain. It is said that there was a folk fortune teller in Jiangxi who was good at Feng Shui. He accidentally discovered a pair of golden rabbits swimming slowly to the south. Out of curiosity, the Yin-Yang master chased the golden rabbit from Jiangxi to Sichuan. When he arrived at the foot of Buddha's Hand Mountain, the golden rabbit suddenly disappeared, and two golden lotus flowers bloomed where it disappeared. The Yin-Yang master had been begging all the way to track down the golden rabbit to Guang'an, Sichuan, sleeping in the open air. He was exhausted and fainted on the ground. The ancestor of the Deng family happened to pass by and rescued him, took him home, gave him food and clothing, and treated him warmly. After the Yin-Yang master recovered, in order to thank the Deng family for their kindness, he told them the secret of the golden rabbit turning into a lotus on Foshou Mountain. He repeatedly warned that the feng shui of this place could bless the family to prosper for generations, have a large population and produce many talented people, but it was suitable for burying females. At the time of burial, three conditions must occur: the body is covered with red ribbons and decorated with colorful ribbons, a carp climbs a tree, and the body wears an iron helmet. So, the Deng family bought this place according to the instructions of the Yin-Yang master. It was set aside as a cemetery and tombstones were built as the burial place for the female members of the Deng family after their death. In 1926, Deng's grandmother Dai passed away. Strangely enough, at the time of Dai's funeral, a family was passing by the mountainside with their daughter married, wearing red clothes and colorful decorations, and beating gongs and drums. The Wei River was also flooded, so a fisherman came here to fish and hung a lively carp on a cypress tree for passers-by to stop and watch. A farmer was returning from Xiexing and passed by with an iron pot on his head. These three scenes just confirmed what the Yin-Yang master said. In the same year, Deng's biological mother, Tan, passed away and was also buried here. |
