Feng Shui stories about the selection of ancestral grave sites that are popular among the people
Introduction: Choosing an ancestral tomb is always a solemn matter. As the saying goes, "smoke is coming out of the ancestral tomb", which means that if the ancestral tomb is chosen well, it can also benefit future generations. There are many stories about choosing ancestral graves circulating among the people. What's so magical about them? Let’s take a look together.
During the Qing Dynasty, there was a family named Luo in a village in Zhaoyuan, Shandong. The family had been a single-line inheritance for three generations, with only a few acres of thin land, and the family was poor and gave up the business. Luo Dong's father is nearly seventy years old and suffers from illness. Mr. Luo's greatest wish in life was that his descendants could prosper, but he had no good opportunity. On this day, an old friend came to visit Luo's sick father. Father Luo knew that his old friend was knowledgeable about Feng Shui, so he asked for his advice. The old friend just smiled and avoided answering the question about Feng Shui. When saying goodbye, Luo's father personally walked his old friend to the village entrance on crutches. The old friend was very moved, so he pointed to a depression in the distance and whispered to Luo's father: "See the depression next to the big willow tree? This depression is a Feng Shui treasure land. Those who can bury the coffins of their ancestors here will surely have great success in the future. You are not in good health, so don't send them off. Go back soon." After that, the old friend said goodbye and left.
The following year, Luo's father's condition worsened, so he called Luo Dong to his side and told him that the depression under the big willow tree at the entrance of the village was a Feng Shui treasure land. A few days later, Luo's father died of illness. In accordance with his father's instructions, Luo Dong buried his father's coffin in the depression next to the big willow tree. Luo Dong was in mourning and guarding the body. Three years passed in the blink of an eye. During this period, Luo Dong even went into debt to send his only son to a private school. The son was very smart, hardworking and studious, and he got first place in the provincial examination. The private school teacher predicted: In the future, this boy will go to Beijing to take the imperial examination and will surely get top three. A wealthy family in the same village had two sons. Both sons were dull-witted and repeatedly failed in the provincial examinations. Seeing that the son of the Luo family was so successful, I was very jealous. Later, he discovered that the place Luodong chose to bury his father was different from others, and he suspected there was something mysterious about it. The wealthy family specially spent a large sum of money to hire a Feng Shui master to come to the village to give advice on Feng Shui. The Feng Shui master came to the entrance of the village and saw the depression where Luo's father was buried. He nodded continuously and said: This is really a Feng Shui treasure land!
Soon, the wealthy man took the initiative to come to Luo's house and discuss with Luo Dong, saying that he had taken a fancy to the depression under the willow tree at the entrance of the village and wanted to build a yard there. If Luo Dong could move the grave, his family would exchange it for ten acres of good farmland. Of course Luo Dong didn't agree. The wealthy family then raised the condition to exchanging 20 acres of good farmland for that piece of land. Although Luo Dong still shook his head to refuse, he secretly thought: My family is already heavily in debt, and my son has already passed the provincial examination. If I exchange that piece of low-lying land for dozens of acres of good farmland, I can not only pay off the debt, but also help my son go to Beijing to take the exam. This is a good thing. When the wealthy man offered thirty acres of good farmland, Luo Dong finally nodded in agreement. In this way, Luo Dong chose an auspicious day to move his father's grave out of the depression, found another place to bury him, and exchanged it for thirty acres of fertile land. As soon as the Luo family's ancestral tomb was moved, the wealthy man couldn't wait to move his own ancestral tomb into this depression.
Less than a year later, Luo Dong's son was preparing to go to Beijing for an imperial examination when he inexplicably fell seriously ill. The Luo family spared no expense in treating their son. In the end, they sold almost all of the 30 acres of fertile land they had bought, but their son's illness was still not completely cured. Luo Dong thought about it and regretted that he should not have exchanged that piece of Feng Shui land. Besides, although the wealthy family had moved their ancestral tomb to a Feng Shui treasured site, their two sons’ academic performance still did not improve. How did this happen? The rich man went to ask the Feng Shui master for advice again.
The Feng Shui master counted with his fingers and said regretfully: "There used to be a lotus pond in the depression next to the big willow tree, with two pythons coiled in the pond, so it was definitely a rare Feng Shui treasure land. But why did these deviations occur? It must be that the Luo family accidentally dug up the ground when they were excavating and moving the grave, and the treasure of the Feng Shui treasure land all dissipated." The rich man felt sorry for the thirty acres of fertile land that he had exchanged for nothing, and could not help but wailing. . .
